What is our Orion Little League board up to?

This month our very own president, Aaron Peer, has been hitting the pavement hand delivering registration flyers and chatting with our local businesses on sponsoring the organization. He has been able to meet a lot of the owners and get to know them on a deeper level. He's excited about digging his roots a little deeper into the community with this opportunity.

If he's not out putting up flyers, you can find him in his "corner office" with the laptop in his lap

while on the phone with our VP Brad Child,

brainstorming great ideas on how to make our season one of the best ones yet and ways to make it run more smoothly.

Our treasurer, MaryBeth DeBaillie, is spending lots of hours opening all the mail from registrations and getting all documentation updated.

Recently Aaron brought his daughter, Izabella, to a president board meeting. Here they go over things that should be happening or already have happened to be sure we have a successful season. While leaving Izabella said, "MaryBeth is VERY important". I think the importance and amount of work load a treasurer does is often overlooked, thankfully we have an insightful 9 year to ground us.

Thank you MaryBeth for all that you do for our community, organization and board to keep us functioning smoothly.

Christian Williams, head umpire, has been working hard to expand his list of umpires and reaching out to our veteran umpires. If he's not reaching out to umpires to prepare for the upcoming 2023 season, he's working on setting up our umpire clinic and making sure we have all the necessary equipment to set our umpires up for success for each and every game.

And let's not forget the work our other board members have been doing.

Alissa Kunert is in cahoots with the high school softball team with planning a youth softball night. This is so exciting! Being able to bring the future of Orion Chargers Softball and recognize them during a season game is going to be one to remember for each of these girls.

Sean Graff pushed for our first ever equipment swap and has taken the lead. He selflessly volunteered to set it all up and take it all down. ;)

He will be the one you will reach out to with any unused equipment, bring it to each winter practice, set out and pack back up to bring home and store for the week. What a great idea Sean!

Start looking through your equipment, take inventory, and figure out what you will be needing for the upcoming season.
